Why Volunteer?

It's easy! No experience is necessary to volunteer at one of our 10 free tax sites around the city and be a part of a tremendous effort that brings $20 million in refunds back to Philadelphia working families! Each year over 500 volunteers join The Campaign to provide free tax preparation, increase access to the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and connect families with public benefits such as food stamps and utility assistance that bring more money into Philadelphia households year round.

Volunteering is Rewarding!

High-impact and tangible: Each committed volunteer brings up to $51,000 annually in refunds to Philadelphia families and can count, in dollars, the value of time donated for the families
served.
Meaningful interactions: Enjoy one-on-one contact
with families at the tax sites.
Easy to schedule, short commitment: Donate 3 hours a week from January through April on a regular schedule that you set.
Lots of training and support: Take advantage of free, flexible IRS tax preparation training and support from experienced staff to build your confidence.
Convenient: Volunteer at any of the 10 conveniently-located sites around the city.
